When the GC show came on TV in may 2012 it portrayed young wealthy Maori men and woman living great lifestyles on the Gold Coast of Australia.The uproar was so tremendous people thought they had killed kittens. Their main argument was NZ on Air money is their tax dollar and Maori people don’t pay taxes because they are all unemployed and in jail. The Cancel the “The GC” Tv show facebook page came online It was pure racism and hatred of Maori yet they pretended they disliked the format of the show. The evidence they didn’t dislike just the format was “We hate the Ridges” got 11 likes compared to the cancel GC facebook received 13,212 likes. But of course all those little haters all confirmed they would hate the Ridges show. The cancel the GC Hate group didn’t delete derogatory posts that discriminated against young Maori a technique all racists use “How can we be racist”
Then they put up a post that is truly racist and expect us to believe them.
The most disappointing aspect of the Cancel the GC facebook is it proliferated E-Racism and neither facebook nor the government intervened also alot of young Maori supported the hatred of their own people. In the Government of Aotearoa young Maori Men and Woman would be on Primetime TV everyday all day.
