The Polynesian migration began in Taiwan Asia and moved south near Antartica in the Antipodes Islands. What is to prevent Polynesians from crossing over into the Atlantic. There are several land bridges in Auckland Iwi used to cross over carrying their Waka at Otahuhu Station to Sylvia Park and also at Portage Road New Lynn.
